Many poetry, stories, and novels are written about the suffering and love of mothers, but there are only few stories written in favour of fathers. And Karnali Blues is one of the ‘father’s’book. Karnali Blues depicts a father- son relationship where the narration is through the son (young boy’s) eyes. It tells how he sees his father throughout his entire life. The story begins with the narrator (son, Brishbahadur) recalling his younger days as he rushes towards hospital to see his father (Harshabahadur), lying on deathbed. The author has described the story from an eye of a small boy whose father is his superhero.
